ermmm quite complicated - there are so many things clothes, toiletries. make up and accessories and oh ya shoes and handbags.. to bring.. list goes on

I'm the one packing for hubby each time he travels. i apparently become an expert and i know exactly what to pack for him.. (same goes to my son..) this must have travel essential is for one week duration if less than 3days you can reduce the items.. :) but for the son who is less than 6 years old you might want to double everything because these little ones are full of surprises...

Some man just dont care if they wear the same shirt for 5 days in a row but please.. think again! recycle on different day is acceptable (everybody does that) but not 5 days in a row..

next round.. travelling essential for woman.. i have to make a thorough study 1st before i could write on this... :p

shoe shopping

I stay nearby Sunshine Square, Bayan Baru Penang... where i notice they held sales every other  month.. yes.. i'm not kidding.. sales every month for every reason.. and i don't understand why, somehow i even started to feel that i was being cheated, but as a regular shoe shopper, the price really drops, from 10% (for normal items if  you have a member card), 20% and 50%.. my knee length boots that i was eyeing was at 50% off yesterday.. cost around RM70 now, and i saw some new shoes too.. i think i'll grab them one of these day.. or maybe i'll wait until Christmas, but the question is.. can the money wait till Christmas.. one more month to wait!!! erghh!!!

i am an avid shoe lover, i have many shoes. more than 30pairs.. on second thought more than 40 pairs.. (err its more than that!!!!) they are everywhere... 10 boxes in the closet, 20 boxes on the closet, 10 pairs outside the house, a few in my car in my car, a few more in the shoe cabinet, in Tawau (i have 6 pairs in Tawau, including my favourite knee length boots and my wedges!) and i'm getting more..

my favourite type of shoes are thick 5" heels shoes, wedges, knee lengths boots with thick heels.. and sexy strappy heels.. half inch in thickness and 5" high..

tips to buy shoes..

time to buy: in the evening where the feet is all swollen from carrying your body weight, so it is the perfect size, never too small for your feet.. TRY your shoes!!! walk on it!! walk everywhere on it (in the shopping floor) if you are wearing a jeans or a long skirt, try raise the jeans/skirt up to see if the shoe is suitable for short dresses/pants.. the most important thing to do is to TRY it!! and check the size twice before you leave the counter... you dont want to come home and put the thing under your bed and when u finally unboxed it, you find out the sizes are different.. at that moment, crying out blood wont change anything!

size to buy: if you are buying a pair of high heel, slip on (not the type that will hurt and swell the back of ur heels and ankle) buy it one size smaller reason??
1. the shoes will expand
2. it is high heel and the tendency for your feet to be pushed forward and downward is high and if your are wearing your normal shoe size, it will leave a gap at the back in a matter of weeks. It looks af if you are borrowing somebody elses shoes, especially when you wear this favourite pair every day.. i have 4 favourie pair and i take turn wearing them to prolong their lifespan.. :)

what to buy - if you are a fan of high heel.. (i am a die hard fan for 5" heels) and wear it everyday without fail.. do get a thick one.. and especially if you have thick calf like i do, wedges and thick heels really compliment the thick calf.. avoid pencil heels.. because the last thing you want is to look like an elephant with a girafe legs.. just imagine how much pressure you are putting to the heels.. and they must be cursinng you at the same time.. (but i have a few of this.. untouched in the shoe box for years! i cannot find a suitable occassion to wear them yet, the reason i bought them were simple, they are just too pretty and on sale, the two very strong irresistable reason)

how to care for your shoes

1. NEVER throw away the boxes...
2. NEVER throw away the silica gel in the boxes (my son used to play with them and swallow it when he was a baby and i got so panickes i rushed him a to clinic and the doctor said just let him drink plenty of water.. its just silica - earth??)
3. wipe and brushed them every time you want to keep them in the shoebox or shoe cabinet after you wear it
4. for wedges, never let the dirt rest at the heels because it wont come out easily, use vanish (a brand of oxidized detergent)  and wipe it with a wet clean cloth.. and dry cloth never try "water jet" the dirt on the shoes, it will be the last time you see it wearable.. i've done that to clean my 5" cork wedges (while i was cleaning my house garage with a water jet, it really cleans the tiles without me having to brush it) and the shoes are now totally damaged.. and they are expensive pair of shoes!! stupid me!

my wish
i wish i have time to snap each of every one of my shoe and start labelling them and organizing them following the color codes.. :p but too lazy to do it.. reason is, they are scattered everywhere.. my friends were right, i need a shoe closet (if not a shoe house.. ;p)

love your shoes, wear/treat them with respect.. a good pair of shoes will make you look GOOD, and keep  complimenting your overall appearance.. keep you comfortable and confident walking in/with them..just like your spouse.. shoes are one of the many symbols of fullfilment and pride.. esp branded expensive shoes... i love all my shoes..  hope you do too.. xoxo

RED SWOLLEN EYES and its remedy

well honey.. so many things happened to me these past few weeks..
i was busy accompanying my hubby, (hes back for some business) being his chaffeur, entertaining him.. and so much more.. and there was Hari Raya Haji (Eid Adhaj (is it???) and.. chaffeuring again... to KL back and forth.. i fell sick, had high fever, my gradmother was admitted.. then was discharged.. i was in KL, came back, fell sick again, with heavy bleeding and passing out occasionally.. and caught an eye infection from the kids at home (both eyes!).. and it was SO BAD i look like a vampire with a frog face...

and sadly, on Thursday morning 17th of November, my beloved grandmother passed away... the iron woman of my life.. my idol! i was so sad for not being able to be at her side during the final days.. i was also badly infected, the last thing i wanted was to pass all my germs to her.. and now she is gone.. but when i visited her on the day she left us, she was just like sleeping... and i feel relieved to see her like that.. my aunt told me she went in her sleep peacefully..  i'm going to miss you nenek!!! your cooking, your nags, your stories, your complaints.. everything!! mom still cries.. God bless grandma's soul Al-fatihah...

and i was at grandma funerals wearing the Huge Sunglasses because of my read swollen eyes, and it was so bad! i have to put it on all the time, everywhere!!.. indoor/outdoor/day/nite!! and somebody really try to pull a joke out of my condition.. "i tot it was fashion!" that was what my uncle said to me.. and our dear YB Datuk Dr. Helmi was there visiting, he was my father's friend and my mom used to be his regular patient (its not because of his relation with my parents but he was the former ADUN of the area... and grandma was the 5th house he visited that day alone) and there i was having this eye infection, being  most unpresentable me, and was not able to socialize with him.. there goes my chance of lobbying but its grandmas funeral.. so i couldnt care less..
i practically went everywhere with my shades on... i picked up my son from school wearing a shades (which is normal) and still having it on while having a conversation with the kids moms and his teachers.. and when i take off the shades to show them the eyes condition.. they just couldn't believe how bad they were.. and luckily, one of the kids mother, an Indian lady just came back from India with a shaved head.. was telling me to soak a handkerchief into tumeric water (doesn't matter if its the real tumeric or the powder) and put it on the eyes.. it will soothes the swell.. and when night came, i did what she said.. and guees what! IT WORKS!and THANK GOD!!! (thanks to the antiseptic thing in the tumeric) and when i'm done with putting damp cotton square on my eyes, i mixed the tumeric water with some rice flour and smear it all over my face like a mask and sleep on it!! and ask my sister to do the same.. and the next morning... walah!! we have very fresh looking face ever! better than any expensive mask! :) the best thing about this mixture is, you can use it for frying some banana fritters or some sweet potato later... or vise versa.. so the mixture wont go to waste! isn't that awesome! and i remember my grandma, she never wasted anything and she is one LOADED lady!

so.. TUMERIC for swollen eyes!!! not the internal redness.. since i'm allergic to eye drops (and ear drops) the only cure for conjuctivitis to me is plenty of sleep... and i ain't getting any.. it has been 4 days now... and counting....

UNWANTED HAIR... Uhhhhh!!!

i have told my friend last night that i would write something about unwanted hair..

if you are not a hairy person like me (my hair grow healthily at all the wrong places), you might want to skip this totally.. but if you are a hairy person..  i know this topic is something that u really wanted to explore more..

the hair I'm referring to is other than the hair that grow on your head.. you should know that by now... women who have a little more testosterone than its normal acceptable amount will have this problem for sure..Just like me..and the problem is even more crucial when i had a hysterectomy 2 years ago. (and left me with one ovary which is the main factory for estrogen) and imbalance of female hormone.. and i have to live on pills.. like evening primrose oil, all the JAMU (the Indonesian herbs pills), collagen, soy extract.. etc etc just to maintain a balance hormone composition.. and it is all COSTLY!!!

GETTING rid of hair.. i've used some methods..
A. SHAVING

good for quickie and ASAP situation
only shave on your
1.legs
2.underarms
3.eye brow (ask professional to do it!!! please!)
4.and the traingle - u know where

NEVER shave your upper lips and any other parts that is hairy

good thing - the hair disappear, your legs are clean shaven but in my case the 1st sight of hair appear 6 hours later.. NO KIDDING! that is why i say - only good during emergency! at least spare this in your toiletries bag..

(BY THE WAY THIS INFO IS APPLICABLE FOR WOMAN ONLY!)

B. Dilapidating cream eg: VEET.. (hubby wished that the service issue this thing FOC for all serviceman!) price at rm17+ at major pharmacies.. :)
this one works wonders!! if you only have the time and could stand the smear and mess..
it says at the tube do not leave more than 3 minutes but i normally leave it for 20minutes, use the spatula to remove the cream.. and walla!! all clean and clear!!! i love this cream.. designated for the hard to reach area.. u know where.. the tube says do not use it there but i use it anyway!! and loving it since the very 1st use!!

VEET
where to use it
1.the triangle area
2.upper lips (3 minutes is OK!)
3.legs

not to use
underarm - the skin is very thin and it will hurt you so badly! trust me!!

BEWARE OF DANGER:
NEVER USE VEET AT THE SAME PLACE TWICE REPEATEDLY (i did that because I tot i wanted to get rid of the remaining hair BURNT MY SKIN! IT WAS SO PAINFUL!!!!)
use it only after 24 hours or more!!!

C. TWEEZER
erm... one of my friend use it there.. yerp one by one.. don't ask me how but she did it.. and i'm still amazed! and i use it at my upper body part.. here and there.. its too embarassing to share with the world the amount of hair and its location i actually have so i dont think i want to be so direct.. :p

tweezer is good to get rid of ugly eye brows..

D. WAXING STRIPS it cost around rm17 a box from major pharmacies
i love this if somebody else do it for me.. it is sticky and messy and a lot of hassle
use it everywhere... but dont leave it too long when u use it in the underarm area..
i had a moment when, my sister put a wax strip on my left underarm and she went to talk to her boyfriend for half an hour and my skin was turning red and all itchy and left me with a burn mark later.. Thank God it heals back to normal.. i've yet to try Brazillian waxing.. cost around RM130.. i've waxed my legs for rm65 and upper lips for rm15 somewhere in Gurney Plaza Penang.. and i told them i would want to try their Brazillian waxing.. some people like it.. some people coudnt stand the pain.. well, i will definitely share with you how the actual feeling is when i'm ready.. :p

where to use waxing strips
1. legs
2. bikini line
3. under arms
4. upper lips

E. EPILATOR
I FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS MACHINE after my friend reccomended this to me and i never have to use all of the above again i bought it at RM169 from Guardian... ! except for "VEET"ing my upper lips ans my neither region.. (well the pain is quite unbearrable for those area mentioned!)

i epilate my legs every week or every fortnight now.. clean and clear.. i LOVE it so much!!! it is painful, it is not like waxing where the hair is being pulled simultaneosly, this one the hair is being pulled rather individually or a few strands at a time.. ouch factor is.. OUCH!!!

the bad thing about this epilator machine is it is an electricalk device with long wires.. i really hope that they will come out with a abttery operated type.. with both shaving and epilating blades.. (they have both heads but i bought the single one!!!)

where to use this epilator
1. legs
2. under arms
3. bikini line
4. toe hairs

not reccomended to use at
1.upper lips
2.brow area
3. tits area

ingrown hair is expected... but keep brushing your legs with a coarse brush when you take a bath.. it will help with the ingrown hair.. :)

F. LASER
this is permanent.. and is very costly!!
for the triangle it cost around RM7000 (yes seven thousand) and you have to go there a few times stripiing to the professionals..

for the under arms it cost around RM4K..

one of my rich God sister showed me her bills.. she purposely showed it to me because she said it was so EXPENSIVE!! her whole month salary.. (well she was getting around 8K per month!)
so if you have the extra cash.. go for this one.. and it is permanent, but somehow if you happened to meet a spouse that wants u to have hair hear and there.. u are in trouble... because you have to think of getting a hair implant!! :p

well honey.. i think this is what i've got to share about getting rid with those unwanted hair.. so try it all.. to a clean and clear unwanted hair free days ahead!!!
