Well, as I mentioned, miracles happen everyday.. Getting this job is actually a miracle that I never had expected all my life. I never plan to live away from my family, everybody knows that. Its a miracle too that I still survive till today..
For the last 6 months, I have this incredible strength to face the challenge because of one miracle that I call LOVE, it makes me strong and excited, despite the cursing and the heart attack. However I think, I have to learn to live without it. God has a better plan maybe. Or maybe God wants me to be more independent and not relying on somebody else? And again, God knows best..
Whatever it is, I've survived the shocked today. Praise god almighty. I wanted to cry because at this moment, I couldn't even lift my hands. I am all exhausted.. And I believe that even though I'm not getting what I really wanted, I'm fine.. Devastated a lil but still OK.. But I still have this LOVE that I want to spread around.. Maybe to my people in the team, the people who support me day and night and the people who entertain all my craps but still love me anyway for me, for who I am... My journey is still very long, Insha Allah.. Be there for me and I'll be there for you unconditionally, till my calling to be somewhere else is here. Thank you and God bless.

U are dead, do u think what they think about u matters still?
It went:
Imagine its ur funeral, how do u think people around u would say about you? Are u good, bad (hardly!), sarcastic, workaholic, a good leader, peoples' person, vouge and stylish, love to wear heels all the time, a pious person?! Friendly? Talkative? A very good cook that people would love your cooking?? What exactly?
You see, my significant other was telling me that incident would be forgotten in 3 months because nobody will think about it anymore after 3 months provided if nobody reminded us about it.. (Unless it has something to do with FEELINGS, BETRAYALS, DISHONESTY, this is an exceptional issue that will take longer to forget (and also forgive).. I kind of agree with him..
People at work labeled me as a shoeholic, yet my best friends that I used to spend time with labeled me as a workaholic, my boys labeled me as somebody that they love (because they always say we love you Miss) I spend 12 hours with them sometimes even more that we have this bonding that no one could understand.. Nevertheless some boys think I'm ignorant. My colleagues think I am full of patience, my hubby thinks I'm very stubborn, my parents think I'm a responsible child but my kid think I'm just a part time mother. He doesn't care if I'm there or not. It doesn't matter anymore and that make me feel really BAD!
In every religion, there's a teaching of "balancing work and life". Which is equally important. We work to survive, but we could never live alone.
You know what, waking up at 5, prepare myself, dressing up, put on make up, making up the bed, pray to God to have a smooth day ahead, face the crazy traffic, inspections, walkabouts, back to back meetings, bickering and quarreling with people, shouting and raising voice to each others face (Forget professionalism)in front of a whole group of other professionals for something petty that could be settle over a cup of coffee.. (And I'm pissed and ashamed) apart from the supposedly jobscope of putting up proposals, designing things, making decision, delegating job, planning for elevated level of human capitals, thinking of ways to cut cost and still be efficient, and controlling more than 25 young boys under a roof and avoid them from picking up on each other.. It happened and its ugly when it happened. I also have to prepare myself mentally and physically from being shot and have to shield myself from stray bullets that came from all directions. Ouch ouch..
By the time I got home its already late. I often missed dinner, sometimes I missed both dinner and lunch. Some people were telling me that I'm loosing weight (which is great), I also feel that I'm loosing my mind.. I don't have time to kid around, I don't have time for craps, I don't even have time to catch up with my hot housemate.. :p, what kind of life is that?? I came home, freshen up, pray and straightaway go to bed.
My head is feeling so heavy.. My only wish is that the pain will subside when I wake up tomorrow..
Miss the old days.. Miss the days when I could mingle around with my bffs and spend my time with my family.. Have longer weekend and have more ME time to draw up my personal short term and long term plan.. I miss shopping especially..
Oh dear.. That is besides the point, the point is, whatever u do, always look at things positively and differently.. And always ask God for blessing and endless mercy.. I still have a lot to learn.. And when I have enough, I will do my part sharing it with others which I feel that I'll be more happy and contented doing. Wonder how do I come this far?? Maybe it is meant to be? Because I've made a promise.. And when I deliver the promise, I think I would be able to change the whole rat race into a more stable and more meaningful life as a whole.. Insha Allah..

what is it with Christmas?! People look around u!!!
You know what? Christmas = SALEs all over the globe!!
And Christmas songs (especially the oldies) reminds me so much of the days i had my first job in East India Company (EIC a subsidiary of Metrojaya) as a sales co-ordinator at the age of 17, right after my SPM.. I was young, energetic and very hardworking.
I stayed in Balik Pulau Penang and i have to take the earliest bus to Georgetown (EIC is located at KOMTAR building in town) (25km hilly and steep roads with sharp corner - mat rempits love this roads) and woke up so early and bathed in COLD water.. work work work.. for a mere RM480 basic salary.. i worked hard and i learnt alot from that first job. most importantly, i learn how to communicate with all walks of life, old young, locals, foreigners, men!! everyone.. 3 shifts morning 9-6, evening 11-8 and noon 1-10. and if i miss the 10pm bus home (VIA relau) i have to wait for 10:30pm bus (VIA Teluk Kumbar which takes me hours to reach home) but i was loyal, i stayed until they offered me to do my matriculations in KMK (Kulim Mara College) 6 months later. I think i picked up my fashion sence when i worked there, i really enjoyed dressing up the mannequins and i love to fold tons of clothes in a confined store room (with very limited head clearance - some had no head clearance at all!!!) and dont talk about OSHA.. nobody knew what is OSHA i guess.. *wink!!
Why i love Christmas? yup its the fond memories i have when i was working in EIC.. and all the beautiful normal everyday things that suddenly look so pretty and desirable, given a facelift with the ribbons and the boxes.. all pretty.. and i love it!! the make up set, the eye shadow pallete, make up brushes, the perfume set, the watches, the shoes (LOVELY SHOES with DIRT CHEAP PRICE TAG), the party dresses (opss!!) yeah i love ribbons, and pretty boxes.. call me crazy but i love collecting boxes i mean.. gift boxes.. and wrapping papers and ribbons.. (ok, that explain why i have a lot of boxes lying around the house because the big boxes contains the small pretty ones)
Looking forward for Christmas.. i will normally spend so much money in December, i think its not just me.. a lot of people must have gone nuts if they visit the malls in December.. a pair of RM600++ ALDO shoes will only cost RM100++. VERY VERY GOOD bargain! and my friend just bought an original COACH purse for only RM280.00!! Demn!!
So people! dont go out if you dont have money in your pocket and if u have money, pls make a wish list prior to visiting the mall or u'll go broke, a toothpaste will look so good with a pretty free gift and cute wrapping, its just that u dont need that much toothpaste in a month, dont u?? a facial foam looks so cute with an upgraded packaging that makes u suddenly wants to but the whole set and not to mention.. they have free gifts for sanitary pads too!! cute little boxes and some brands even give a diary!! SOOO TEMPTING (or i'm just another cheapskate - heheh and don't tell me u are not! everyone love free gifts!)
Ok.. enough of my temptations.. idont know how to curb it anymore!! just dont give me money or i'll just spend it on another pair of shoes or another pretty cute dress..
My advise to you is DO control yours dear!!
To the people that are celebrating Christmas - have a blast celebration with your love ones.. spread love all around us!!
cheers!!
XOXO

Pheww.. Work and no play make MJK a dull girl..
Man! I've been working like a buffalo since the day I step my feet in KL land. Since then, I only went to Pavilion once and to Sg Wang Once!! Damn!! I went to those places weekly when I was not even staying here. Came all the way from Penang just for a shopping spree. Now that I am permanently stationed here.. Penang old folks will say (mampoih kat sini - literally translated - dead here) * can't help smiling while writing this.. Those old people really have funny2 term to explain things.
OK.. Back to shopping - Little that I realized, even though now that I'm staying in KL, I don't even have time to go shopping! Let alone loitering in the mall without any intention of buying anything except for sudden IMPULSE buy.. (Ikut hati mati, ikut rasa binasa) who cares anyway!! I still survive after several impulse purchase.. (Even though I don't really wore/use whatever that I bought but created a rule where, I have to put on any clothes I bought to sleep.. At least I've worn them once) what happen to my handbag/shoes/et cetera (ok, I'll think of another rule for that in the future).. And finally publish a book for eccentric people like me "the unwritten rules for girls like me" by MJK Fabulous!
My Job is great if not glamorous (I was expecting the later) Oh come on! What is so glamorous about changing bulbs and making sure the temperature is OK.. But hold on a second.. Don't people know that I'm actually the one thinking (with the help of some more experts of course) and making sure that the building is operational at all time without fail?! And it involves a lot of quarrels and headache and clearing other people shits. Yeah bebeh! There's a lot of shits there!!
Everyday at work people are telling me that I'm in the wrong industry! I should be in broadcasting or in the movies or fashion or whatever is glamorous. Why didn't I think of doing Mass com or performing art back in college? I miss acting on stage.. Seriously! The last time I perform was when I was in 2nd year of Matric in USM. Its now a history...
Erghh!!! I should blame mom n dad for wanting me to be a doctor, but when I brought up the issue, they told me right to my face that I was the one who wanted to be a doctor, and ironically I'm not even a doctor now! I'm professionally a building engineer and surveyor... (Ok a building doctor I guess) dealing with contractors, calculations, my patient is the building itself and to make it worst, the building I'm nannying is SICK all the time!
Yeah! Its a nightmare!! And tell me how glamorous it could get when u have to take care of a sick building? My Christian Louboutins pumps and Gucci Sunnies just don't match with a SICK BUILDING!! Everyday, when its not raining, I'll climb up the rooftop of my building, look at the sky and the skyscrapers and told myself, hey.. This is not bad?! How many people actually been on top the roof in heels?? NONE! (Ok I got up there through a staircase not a cat ladder, that is how I manage to wear heels!!) And how many chief engineer actually doing her rounds in 4" heels and a skirt with black socks with big loop earrings.. Well honey, I'm the only crazy girl who does that. But, I'm a pro.. When I do building survey, I'll trade my 4" with a safety boots and no earrings whatsoever... OK its UGLY.
OK! I swear to my Gucci Sunny that I won't be caught red handed in those ugly boots! But I have been caught walking around with an office skirt, long sleeves shirt and a calf length Dr Cardin! (Just because I need to have a look at the water meter which is located at a slope near a stream, on muddy surface) A total wardrobe malfunction!! A Crazy lady with totally unmatched attire!! Even the clown looks better than me!!
Wait!! Why does a safety boots have to be UGLY.. What happen to the word STYLISH? Can I be a trend setter in revamping a boring lady engineer look by putting on a STYLISH boots rather than UNSIGHTLY weks weks boots.. Oh! And my overall..(The jumpsuit I'm talking about!) Its not me at all!! I should send it to the tailor for some upgrading and modification. Hey, I'm me and I don't settle for anything less than "wow", I don't go for moderate or normal.. because I'm insanely outrageous!! I'm just silly me..
So when I think back, I've actually made history by creating a "glam world" of my own. I love my job.. I'm proud to do what I do.. I enjoy doing the things I do.. Even though it has to mean, NO TIME FOR SHOPPING!
Well, actually it is a good thing, I could save more for more SHOPPING later! Shop for a more meaningful thing, such as a new condo with a swimming pool that is located far away from a kedai makan (eatery) or a surau.. (The pool in my apartment is only a feet away from a restaurant and about 20ft from a surau! God bless the designer!!) And, I want to shop for a new baby sports car.. Meow!!!! Sleek and sexy like RX8.. Match made in heaven!! Slurpppp!! Ok honey! Enough of daydreaming!
Conclusion is.. Just be yourself in whatever that you do. No matter how bad people condemn u, just take it as a compliment.. It will just make you a better person. Trust me. I've been there done that! Despite people making a fuss about what I wear to work, I don't care! I know I love my job and I do it right. Like I say, I'm a pro. I do things professionally.. I know when to trade in my bandanna with a hard hat..my loop earrings with an earplugs or muffler Or a 4" ALDO with a calf high Red Wing.. The point is, do the things u like the way you like it, because no other ppl know what you u the way you do.. Happy working all!! Cheers!!
XOXO
MJK Fabulous!

Will For Me 3/9/2012
Laugh till your stomach ache, then cry at your own ignorance of letting it be.
Cry till your eyes swollen, then frown at your mistakes.
Scowl till your skin thinned, then sigh with your regret.
Sigh till your cheek shrunk, then think at your vow.
Think till you got dizzy, then grasp what you may in the heart.
Grasp till you heart feels, then act as immediately as you can muster.
Act rigorously till exhaustion crept, then seek for a better method to do it.
Seek till you can find no more, then choose the simplest route to travel.
Choose to be righteous and upright, then moderately build up your faith.
Build it up till you assimilated fear and hope, then no mortal creation may shaken your soul. -- alwi z.

Eid mubarak - Raya Oh Raya..
I've created history where, this is the 1st time I celebrated 1st Syawal away from the comfort radius of my family and loved ones. I'm here alone (well not really.. my team mate is here, also on stand by), but still ALONE in term of natural human fulfillment (or is that so?)
A lot of people been asking why do I stay working and not joning the exodous of people who drive back to their hometowns.. well, I have many reasons..
Exactly a month ago when my team were discussing about the raya leave schedule, 3 of my people tendered their resignation letter, they wont make it till raya. That caught me by surprise because I know one guy is leaving but not 3 and not at the same time. Moving on from there, these 3 people never turned up after a week of tendering, and to make things worst, they drag along another guy. So, i'm short of 4. As a female, leading maintenance and operations, this incident really wakes me up. Maybe, I was too close to the boys. I shouldn't have. They left without even saying good bye, and I was indeed very frustrated. These boys were good in term of work however, when i finally had a moment thinking, I dont want them to be here anymore, they have a serious attitude problem. Irresponsible and immature. I let them go. My immediate superior, and HR HOD's were really concern about my situation. Felt like i just lost my right arm. God knows best, we were immidiately open for hiring and i got in 2 new guys, and they are so far so good.
Coming back to why i stayed back for raya, umm... to avoid any unforseen circumstances. Yes, other HOD laughed and smirked at me to the fact that i cannot control my man in term of giving orders, but happened if i forced them to stay and they never turned up during the long break, and things in Sasana don't work out? And I'll end up having the most hellish celebration, that i dont want to think of. God is gracious, i am happy and i know i have done the right thing. Thank God, it has been 3 days, everyone is happy. Well, Another guys resigned 2 days before the long break. But i am well prepared, mentally and operationally.
that is the 1st reason.. the other reasons are..
1. My cousin is having a wedding on the other week of raya, i can choose not to come, but i feel that i should.
2. The fact that somebody always told me i could never be away from my parents, i think i've proven to him that i am now all grown up... (maybe a little too late.. oh come on.. i always love to be daddy's little girl.. ;p)
batt is going low.. to be continued.. have a blissful celebration
