The words that keep me going!!

Do not look back and grieve at the past, for it has gone, do not be troubled about the future because it has not yet come, live in the present, make it beautiful and it will be worth remembering...

something about - being "efficient" in "higher educational institution"

2000 new students enrolled for distance learning, and only 2 registration counters were open? the scenario is similar to queing for an american idol audition... and this happened in an APEX university.. something ironic i should say??** my ex boss in Intel always use this word.. "MALU-ation" something that cause a great shame.. obviously it is a Manglish that is not official and coudnt be found in any dictionaries...

i was in USM earlier today to hit the running track at the stadium, and i bumped into a massive crawl of traffic, unfamiliar vehicle registration, from all over the country," is this the new students? but they are still on long leave.. ohh.. on second thought, they must be the distance learning undergraduates"; at the first glance, they were very excited.. so many cars.. thousands i guess.. and the marching field was packed with cars and even busses..i saw the Navy bus and some military trucks, (the most obvious one), they must have contributed to make up the crowd too. Quietly i said.. "welcome fellas.. you are now officially my junior.. :), have fun" (but i dont think they would have the same sort of fun that i got when i was astudent back then.. it was hell lots of fun!!) or its not too over reacted if i welcome them as my students, too bad that my school didn't offer any distance learning course.. or the will end up having this hot mommy fabulous as one of their "tutor".. my students were happy to have me around..  aren't you fellas?? hehe

i went home without completing my run, the stadium has been used for the Uni family day, the night before, now i know what the firecrackers i saw last night was all about..

it was noon, i was there again.. for some other unavoidable circumstances, and this time the crowd was growing worst and restless.. i could hear people complaining ** (what i mention in the 1st para) and so many more complains coming along later...as an alumni, i feel very bad. i am so proud of this Uni, i refuse to go to other places to continue with my RLKA (Rancangan Latihan Kakitangan Akademik - some courses for the PhD students) because i wanted to do it here in this special Uni, i even end up teaching at this place even though it is just a part time job..

what really happened actually??? where were the staff?? 2 registration counters for 2000 students? (sorry i have to repeat this again.. because it sounded so ridiculous to me) some even bring their whole family with them. I could see little children running ecerywhere and crying, pregnant mothers feeling restless, the older generation (who accompanied their children not solely for the undergraduates registration but also to spend school holiday and attending weddings i guess).. they hate to be in the middle of this chaos; and of course everyone was fed up to their teeth.. and all i could hear them say.. "TERUK!!BERATUR PANJANG!!PENAT" (aweful!! Long que!! exhausting!!) everything was not well organized, from the constantly changing time table, to the registration counter.. and some even complained that the form was not correctly design (well, some people are really so observant and they really pay attention to this minute details) REGISTRATIONwise was a total disaster.. the only organized things i saw was the security team; taking care of the traffic with full dedication and sweet smiles under the hot sun.. KUDOS.. so far their system and they themselves are unbeatable...

well.. in my experience, registering into USM 3 times (2nd year matriculation, undergraduates, postgraduates..) the process was smooth.. and my graduation was even the most efficient i know and my parents really extend their recognition to everyone involved.. they went to many graduations, in many higher institutions, and  they still say that my uni is the best.. i  wonder how they ended up having a disaster at the registration counter on the 4th of June 2011? is there any answers??

this is nothing related to the DAY, its about me.. looking at them, i was wondering if i should proceed with my dream.. to put on the hunters hat and embroidered cloak during graduation.. ermm.. am i ready?? i guess so.. i have put it on hold for almost 10 years now..  and i think i have finally found a suitable title for my research, yet to compose the synopsis.. may god bless me and give me the courage to make a move on this one.. to make my long KIV dream a reality :) cheers...
